Matthew 3:1

And in those days comes John the Baptist, proclaiming in the wilderness of Judea,

for this is he who was spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, saying, 'A voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare you the way of the Lord, straight make you His paths.'

Then Jesus was led up to the wilderness by the Spirit, to be tempted by the Devil,
