Matthew 1:19

and Joseph her husband being righteous, and not willing to make her an example, did wish privately to send her away.

but I -- I say to you, that whoever may put away his wife, except for the matter of whoredom, does make her to commit adultery; and whoever may marry her who has been put away does commit adultery.
